Christmas decorations adorn the yard and eaves of April Martin's house on North Eighth Street. That was part of the reason it was selected for the final yard of the Month honor for 2016. Martin was presented a gift basket and sign to place in her yard by Tara matthews and Stacy Alsover Wednesday afternoon. The yard of the month contest will resume in April.
