Several hundred people spent Sunday afternoon showing their affection for Linda Hodges-Riddle.
An Indian taco dinner was held at the Henryetta Masonic Lodge to help the long-time educator in her fight against cancer.
She has been diagnosed with myxopapillary ependymoma, a tumor that affects the spinal cord.
Even though she has had surgery to remove the tumor, it has come back and now she is facing treatment at m.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. That treatment will include radiation therapy and surgery.
Funds generated by the dinner, along with a silent auction and other fund-raising activities are going to help with expenses.
Riddle had been a teacher at Henryetta schools for over 15 years. She is currently the principal at Graham-Dustin schools.
