Verdalee Hazel Crawford, a resident of Hitchita, died Jan. 31, 2017 in Hitchita at the age of 89. She was born Nov. 3, 1927 in Plainview, Okla., to Cephas Pippin and Hazel (Powers).
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Crawford, and by four brothers, Herbert, Austin, Roy, and Bobby Pippin.
Verdalee is survived by three daughters, Betty Joyce Duvall and husband Joe Bob of Hitchita, Nunley and husband Charles of Wilson and Debbie Collins and husband John of Hitchita; son, Dusty Crawford and wife Scarlet of Hitchita; grandchildren: Paula Ross and husband Darrell, Tracy Durrett and husband Asa, Shane Crawford, Je'Anda Spurlock, Heath Lawson and wife Stacey, Dusti Stotler and husband Jim, Cheyenne Collins and wife Leah, Denver Collins and wife Brooke, and Tucson Collins; great grandchildren: Dustin Ross and wife Shoneen, Jess Ross and friend Dana McCarty, Tasha Hix and husband Cole, Travis Durrett and friend, Amanda, Kaylee Crawford and friend Kamie, Dallas Durrett and friend, Taylor, Roper Selby and wife Hannah, Mica Lawson, Brooklyn Selby, Dustin Crawford, Baylor Selby, Aspen Collins, Luke Collins, Cash Stotler, Memphis, and Tommy Casey, two great grandchildren, Legend Durrett and Lennon Hix; sister, Dolores Morris of Henryetta; sister-in-law, Maxine Miller of Hitchita, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 and Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 3, 2017 at Freewill Baptist Church in Hitchita with Rev. George Harris, officiating. Interment will follow at Lackey Cemetery in Hitchita, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
