The new Green Country Technology Center superintendent Larry Killebrew met Henryetta Lions Club members Tuesday.
Killebrew was hired in February after serving as assistant superintendent for Mid America Technology Center in Pauls Valley.
"I was excited to come to the area," he told the Lions.
He explained he first looked at the Okmulgee-based Green Country campus in December then researched the area and finally put his name up for consideration.
Killebrew said his background is in community development and wants to reach more people in the area. "We serve a higher percentage of high school students than any other tech center. I want to keep it working and expand into economic development."
