Two state office candidates will be the guest speakers at the Sept. 12 Okmulgee County republican party meeting.
Matt Pinnell who is running for Lt. Governor and Glen Mulready who is running for Insurance Commissioner will be speaking at the OSUIT Student Union conference room starting at 7 p.m.
A Tulsa resident, Pinnell was the youngest Republican State Party Chairman in the U.S. at the time of his election. He was asked by Reince Priebus to serve as the State Party Director for the Republican National Committee. He then led the transition team when Priebus went to Washington D.C.
Mulready spent 13 of 33 years in the private sector insurance industry working on the executive teams of Oklahoma's two largest health insurance companies. Glen currently serves the public in the House of Representatives as the Majority Floor Leader. He previously served as chair of the House Insurance Committee leading efforts to reform the Oklahoma insurance laws. He and his family live in Tulsa.
State Rep. Scott Fetgatter will also be on hand to give an update on the budget issue facing legislators.
