Volunteers are being sought to help clean up Interstate 40 between the two Henryetta exits.
Gayle Machetta has been the coordinator for several of the cleanup efforts and pointed out April 11 is the annual Oklahoma Trash-Off Day.
She said the interstate has been the subject of construction work for the past couple of years that has prevented any litter pick up projects. "We've concentrated on US 75 each of last two years, and now that area is under construction," she said.
Machetta is looking for help with the cleanup as well as a volunteer to help coordinate the project.
