A Holdenville man had to be flown to Tulsa for treatment of injuries he received when his truck crashed into a pond Friday.
Danny Jackson was the only occupant of the 2008 Chevrolet truck that went off the road on SH 9 north and west of Hanna.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Jackson, 68, sustained head and internal injuries in the crash. He was transported by Life Flight to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa for treatment. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
His was the second area crash within 12 hours that resulted in injuries.
Around 3:30 a.m. a 2000 Ford driving by Jessie Shepherd, Beggs, crashed about five miles east of Okemah on Interstate 40.
The OHP said Shepherd, 18, was westbound on the interstate when his vehicle went off the road and crashed into a tree.
He sustained a leg injury in the crash.
