The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been called in on an officer-involved shooting south of Morris.
According to the OSBI, Okmulgee County deputies were called about a suicidal individual at 17401 Bristlecone Road in rural Okmulgee County Wednesday morning.
OSBI spokesperson Jessica Brown said a resident at the home, Robbie McMurtry, threatened the officers with a machete outside the house.
She did not reveal any details about the shooting nor the identification of the deputy who shot and killed McMurtry.
Deputies were not injured in the incident.
OSBI agents will submit a report to the district attorney who will decide whether the shooting was justified.
