Nacole Bain will have her first hearing before a judge July 26 in the death of Addison Waddel.
She allegedly told Okmulgee County investigators that she shot the 56-year-old Waddell. He was the subject of a search for nearly a week prior to her arrest.
A body believed to be his was found Tuesday along Gun Club Road after a landowner said he saw the remains.
Bain had just bonded out of jail on a complaint of larceny of merchandise from a retailer. She allegedly stole some items from the Dollar General Store at Dewar earlier in June.
A warrent had been issued for her arrest after she failed to appear at a June 7 hearing on that charge.
