With Veterans Day only a few days away, the Henryetta Lions Club welcomed VFW Post 539 Commander Bill Goodner as the guest speaker Tuesday.
Goodner, a retired Navy officer, introduced club members to the various programs offered by the VFW for area servicemen and women. He encouraged anyone who is a veteran of the military and who has served in combat areas to contact him to join the organization.
