A truck crash Tuesday afternoon resulted in the death of an Okmulgee woman and the arrest of the driver on drug charges.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Darla Maxwell, 46, was a passenger in a 2014 Chevrolet truck that went off the roadway on SH 52 about six miles north of Morris shortly before 5 p.m.
The truck, driven by Matthew Nix, 31, Morris, struck a guardrail.
Nix was booked into the Okmulgee County jail on complains of first degree manslaughter with a vehicle, operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs and failure to stay in a single lane of traffic.
