Sales tax revenue could set new high for town

With only three weeks left to go in the current fiscal year, Henryetta is on track to set a new record in sales tax receipts.
During the past 11 months, the town has averaged $206,817 in sales taxes and, if that trend continues, collections for the entire 12-month period could reach $2,481,814. That will beat last year's $2,246,968 and become the highest in the past seven fiscal years.
In the 2008-09 fiscal year, the city received $2,367,229.09 which was the highest in a half-dozen fiscal year stretch.
The following year, revenue dropped nearly $147,738 then rebounded by $27,477 in the 2010-11 fiscal year.
Starting in the 2005-06 fiscal year the returns have been:
FY 05-06: $2,063,717
FY 06-07: $2,140,948
FY 07-08: $2,222,983.96
FY 08-09: $2,367,229.09
FY 09-10: $2,219,491.93
FY 10-11: $2,246,968.46
FY 11-12 (to date): $2,274,997.79
