Two new additions have been made to the American Exchange Bank board of directors.
Julie Stovall and Travis Thompson are the new members of the board following a recent election.
aeb boardIn addition to being on the board, Stovall is also president of the Okemah AEB branch. As such,the new Okemah branch will be under her management. She is a lifelong resident of the Okemah community and resides in Okemah with her husband Jay and their three children Sabrina, Seth, and Sarah.
With more than 25 years of banking experience, Julie has previously served as Vice President and commercial lender at two banks. She currently serves on the board of the OBA Consumer Lending School and is a 2018 graduate of the OBA Emerging Leaders Academy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in accountancy. In addition, she is currently a senior at the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
Thompson is employed by the Muscogee Creek Nation at the RiverSpirit location in Tulsa. He is the Director of Compliance and was instrumental in the build and remodel of several of the tribe’s casinos. He and his wife, Sarah, and their children live in Henryetta. He has a master’s degree in accountancy.
Chairman of the Board, Kent Pharaoh, welcomes AEB’s two new Directors, Julie Stovall and Travis Thompson, as American Exchange Bank moves forward with its expansion plans. “Julie and Travis will bring a new energy to our board room,” said Pharoah.
In addition to the new directors, some other promotions have been announced at AEB.
Keith Hare has been named American Exchange Bank’s Vice President. aeb new
He joined AEB in July 2017 as a lending officer and also became the bank’s security officer in 2018. He has 15 years banking experience and an extensive background in many areas of the Bank. Hare attended Seminole State College before transferring to East Central University where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science with a major in Business Administration, Finance. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bankers Association and has completed multiple Banking School Programs and is currently enrolled in the second session of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. 
Hare and his wife Courtney have two daughters, Kallie and Korbyn.  They live in Weleetka where they have a small cattle operation and attend the First Free Will Baptist Church.
“Keith is a very important member of our executive team. He has a very good background in agriculture and farm equipment lending. Keith has brought many new customers to our bank,” said AEB president Terri Thompson.
Nita Robertson was recently promoted to Vice President of American Exchange Bank.
Robertson started working at AEB in 1996 as a Secretary and worked her way up to real estate loan officer in 2015. She is also the loan compliance manager with 28 years of combined banking experience.
“If you need a home loan, Nita has expertise in making the process very smooth and simple,” Thompson said. “Her background in closing real estate loans has helped her to obtain new business in this area.”
Nita and her husband David operate a cattle ranch near Henryetta. They have three children, Stephanie, Stacey and Sam, as well as nine grandchildren. They attend the First Baptist Church of Dewar.
Angie Thomas has been named Compliance Manager for American Exchange Bank.
“Managing compliance is a crucial area for our bank. Angie helps maintain compliance with our regulations in a smooth, orderly fashion. I am very happy to have Angie on our team,” Thompson stated.
Recently celebrating her one-year anniversary with the bank, Thomas started as a teller and is now working in the bookkeeping department. Prior to working at AEB she was co-manager of the Okmulgee Walmart and was employed with that company for 21 years.
She lives in Henryetta with her husband of 20 years, Michael, and their two sons, Weston and Austin. They attend New Life Assembly of God. Her parents are Frances Smith and the late Arlie Smith, lifetime residents of Henryetta.
