A dozen hits resulted in nine runs and a 9-0 shutout win for the HHS Lady Knights Tuesday at Liberty.
Henryetta jumped out to a two-run lead in the first inning with Alyssa Osterdock scoring one of her three runs during the afternoon. She walked then Mykaela Wallace picked up a double to bring her home. Wallace scored on a fly out by Kendal Perez.
Ally Flanary added a third run in the third inning and Hanna Gouge picked up one in the fourth.
Osterdock, Mykaela Wallace and Flanary all scored on RBIs in the fifth then Kamarie Wallace and Osterdock capped off the runs in the sixth.
The Lady Knights start their quest for the state title with a 3 p.m. home district game this afternoon (Thursday). They will be going up against Wagoner and Checotah.
