James Dallas Standridge, a resident of Henryetta, died Jan. 10, 2014 in rural Henryetta at the age of 85. He was born March 30, 1928 in Dustin to James Lemuel Standridge and Clarice (King) Standridge.
Dallas was a veteran serving in the US Navy from 1946 to 1947. During his time in the Navy he was part of the team that carried out A-Bomb tests in Operation Crossroads in the North Pacific. He was a life member of VFW post 8559 in Iredell, Texas
He married Heleene Berger April 17, 1954 in Cleburne, Texas.
Dallas is survived by his daughter Julie Annette Thomas and husband Alan Garold of Fairview, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Annette Marie Bryant and husband Andrew of Englewood, Tenn., and Ashley Nicole Holbrook and husband Jason of Harrisonville, Missouri, three great grandchildren, Addison, Browder, and Rossie Bryant all of Englewood, one sister, Martha Sue Willis and husband Dean of Dallas, Texas, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 14 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday Evening.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Ithe First Baptist Church in Dustin. Interment will follow at Dustin Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
