Charles Henderson a resident of Dewar, died Aug. 3, 2019 in McAlester at the age of 87. He was born Oct. 25, 1931 in Spiro to Lou and Hester (Weir) Henderson.
Charles was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the US Army
He married the love of his life, Patsy Moats Oct. 12, 1952 in Van Buren, Ark.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Brothers; Clarence Henderson, Howard Henderson and Raymond Henderson. Sisters; Clydia King, Wilda Cantrell, Gertie Sevier, Opal Sills and a great granddaughter Jolen Fry.
He is survived by his wife Patsy of the home; daughters and son in laws Debbie Lane and Jerry of Dewar and Marilyn Fry and Joe of Pierce; grandchildren: Trina and Brian Taylor, Melanie and Brian Lannen, Tobie and Curtis King, Joe and Lisa Fry and Teddy and Jennifer Lane; great grandchildren: Shyla Lane, Tyler Fry, Shea Petree, Colt Taylor, Trent Chancellor, Ashtyn Taylor, Holly Lannen, Teddy Lane, Zoe King, Loren Fry, Abigail Lane and Lilien Fry; one great granddaughter, Kinslee Lane, as well as a host of nephews, nieces and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Ryan Wells, officiating. Interment will follow at the Salt Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
