Back to back two-run homers set the stage for the Lady Knights to win their opening regional softball game Thursday.
Henryetta was down 4-2 going into the fifth inning when Kamarie Wallace got the first homer. She nailed the ball over the 12-foot high fence 180 feet away.
That brought in Maddie Gouge who was waiting on second after a single to right field.
Now tied at 4-4, Alyssa Osterdock got on with a single. Mykaela Wallace took the second pitch on a ride down the center scoring Osterdock as well.
The Chisholm Lady Longhorns scored first on a pair of singles in the opening inning.
Kendal Perez got on first with an error then Hanna Gouge singled down the center. Maddie James slapped the ball to right field. That would have loaded the bases but an overthrow to third allowed Perez to score and tie it up.
Gouge came in from third on a sacrifice by Maddie Gouge.
That put the Lady Knights in the lead by a run but the game was tied in the third when Chisholm picked up a run in the third then moved ahead with a two-run homer in the fifth.
That's when the Wallace sisters changed the dynamics with their two-run homers sending the Lady Knights into the championship round.
