Bobby "Joe" Vance, a resident of the Wilson community, died Nov. 9, 2019 at his home in Wilson at the age of 75. He was born Oct. 3, 1944 in the Wilson Community to William Jack Vance and Minnie (Winn) Vance.
Joe was a member of the Wilson Community Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by three precious grandchildren, Willy, Kasey, and Rebecca, his parents, Jack and Minnie Vance, sisters, Katy Vance, Maxine Vance, and Mae Pulley; in-laws, Bluford and Leona Donathan, Pete, Russell, and Fran Donathan, and by nephew, Doug Brown.
Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Glenda Vance of the home; children: Paul and Christy Vance, Mark Vance, Julie Vance and Jeff Stephens, Shannon, Brandi and Dakota Vance; grandchildren: Leah and Dustin Settles and children, Hunter and Aspen, Shelly Vance and children Garrett, Michael, and Lucas Barbosa, Andy Vance, Meghan and Bryan McCarther and children, Daxon and Stella, Harmony Vance and Chloe Brown, Joshua and Morgan Stephens and children, Joe, Liam, and Tate, Justin Stephens and son Jaxon; sister, Wanda Wilbur; brothers, Don Vance and Jack and Donna Vance; in-laws, Don Pulley, Darlene and Don Bartolina, Kay Donathan and Dale Donathan; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019 at the Wilson Community Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance and Dr. Audie Swinney, officiating. Interment will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery in the Wilson Community. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
