A group of Henryetta residents are banding together to put on a Christmas Winter Wonderland.
The group, spearheaded by Kasey Johnson, are getting lights and decorations together to light up Territorial Park on South Fourth starting Dec. 7 and continuing through the Christmas holiday.
Tuesday night the Henryetta city council gave approval for the project.
Johnson said the volunteers would maintain the lights and decorations. She said any church group that would like to perform Christmas carols or provide refreshment would be invited to participate.
The entire project started on Facebook earlier this month and about a dozen people are involved. Donations of lights and decorations are sought.
