Nurses at Hillcrest Henryetta are being honored with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses . The award is part of the DAISY Foundation's mission to recognize the extraordinary, compassionate care nurses provide patients and families every day. Ardent Health Services co-sponsors the award at Hillcrest Henryetta.
Tiffany Ishmael, RN, BSN, nurse in the medical-surgical unit, received the inaugural award.
She was nominated by three of her patients for this award.
"Tiffany is very sweet and accommodating," one patient said. "She is a very hard worker and if she doesn't know the answer to something, she finds out and immediately lets me know. Tiffany is one of the most compassionate nurses I have had."
"Tiffany showed a level of commitment, enthusiasm, diligence and devotion that is off the charts," another patient said. "She made me feel like family and went above and beyond the call of duty."
"Tiffany is a great nurse," a third patient said. "She cares so much and knows her job very well. She pays attention to detail and makes sure everything is done correctly."
Patients, families and colleagues may nominate nurses through a nomination form, which is available at the hospital. The DAISY committee at the hospital chooses the award recipient, and awards will be presented throughout the year at celebrations attended by the honoree’s colleagues, patients and visitors.
