choir1A trip to Tahlequah Tuesday wound up successful for the Henryetta high school and middle school choirs as they competed in the OSSAA district choir contest at Northeastern State University.
The HHS Advanced Honor Choir received an Excellent rating on their stage performance and sight reading. The HMS 7th and 8th grade choir earned an Excellent rating for their stage performance and a Superior on their sight reading.
"Our students practiced hard for the past several weeks and proved they can come out ahead when the competition demands it," said Karen Willis, choir director.
The advanced honor choir members are: Sheldon Andrews, Matilyn Bailey Cheyene Crittenden, Haylee Crittenden, Alec Delacal, Alison Dombek, Madison Fry, Brodie Graffman, Shellby Henderson, Leia Howton, Paige Huddleston, Skye Maldonado, Zeta Mordecai, Sylvia Mulliniks, Nichole Noah, Dalton Pemberton, Jackson Powders, Elizabeth Scrudder, Taylor Shepherd, Tyler Sisson, Destiny Stevenson, Andrea Wade, Ashtyn Wilbourn, Jocelyn Wolfe and Blake Wynne.
Members of the seventh and eighth grade choir are: 7th Grade: Cassidy Bailey, Timmothy Brooks, Felicity Burden, Destiny Cabrera, Avalynn Cantrell, Addy Chavez, Gabe Collett, Abbi Dodge, Aliyah Dubois-Spearman, Emmalee Gore, Kaidence Ingram, Braden Lollis, Abby Pemberton, Nevaeh Rader, Gracee Rogers, Charlee Scott, Zane Stevens, Emma Thompson, Tessi Vanhorn and Ava Young. 8th Grade: Anne Ashley, Chloe Baughman, Jasmine Cantrell, Wyatt Coy, Caveryn Foster, Kenzie Gillin, Annabelle Livingston, Anna McConnell, Reagan Mordecai, Jacob Nail, Eternity Sanford and Lexi Stewart.
