The final round of heavy rain Thursday afternoon is believed to have been part of the reason for an injury crash on Interstate 40 just west of Tiger Mountain Road.
About 3:45 Thursday afternoon, a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner driven by Felicia Roberts Tulsa was eastbound on I-40 when it went out of control, going of the right side of the road and striking a tree.
Roberts, 27, sustained several injuries and was taken to Hillcrest Hospital in Henryetta where she was admitted for treatment of this injuries.
Trooper Toby Jenson said it was raining at the time of the crash.
An earlier crash west of Henryetta was also believed to have been partially due to rainwater ponding not he roadway. No injuries were reported in that accident.
