Henryetta school officials have released the Distance Learning Plan that will be enacted for the rest of the school year.
A letter has been going out to all parents but it is being reprinted here in the event that some have missed it.

District Learning Plan Information for PK-12th grade

We appreciate your patience and support as we are navigating through uncharted territory as a public school.  The school buildings will be closed for the remainder of the school year but your child’s education will continue.  HPS Distance Learning Plan was approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Education and we will put this plan into action April 6th-May 8th, 2020.  Each grade level across the district may look a little different but overall ALL students will have options to continue learning. We encourage all families to take advantage of the online options that will be available. Core classes will be our focus. Families that do not have adequate access to the internet will be given the option of utilizing an instructional packet. The packets can be picked up for Pre-K through 12th grade on Monday, April 6th from 10:00-1:00.  All sites will be distributing the packets from the car rider line at each building.

All high school students have a Chromebook to utilize for online core classes via Odysseyware. However, some students left their Chromebook in their locker and will need to come pick them up Monday, April 6th from 10:00-1:00. The Odysseyware classes are set up and ready for student access. If you need help with your login or password please contact Kathy Snyder at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  ACT test prep will be added to Odysseyware as an enrichment.  Financial Literacy still needs to be completed and will be assigned through Odysseyware or packet form.  Khan Academy is a great resource to enhance student learning.  Khan Academy has a library of standards-aligned lessons covering kindergarten through early college math, grammar, science, history, AP courses and more.  Students can practice skills with exercises, quizzes and mastery challenges and get immediate feedback and support.  They are even sharing suggested daily schedules with links to curriculum sorted by grade-level bands.

For Middle School students that have internet, wifi, or hotspot we have provided enrichment through USA Testprep which the students are already familiar with.  This material will be able to be monitored by our teachers during this time.  Information on how to log in will be provided on our school website beginning Monday, April 6 if not before.

Our elementary teachers have been trying to make contact with all parents to guide parents through the distance learning plan. Parents can access the Distance Learning online links from our school website under the grade level tabs. If you have not heard from your child’s teacher, we are lacking valid contact information. Please make an effort to contact the teacher. Any parents that need to update contact information, please call your 918-652-6587 ext. 2250 April 6-10th between 12:00-1:00.

Watch our school Facebook page and school website (www.henryetta.k12.ok.us) for details and updates.
