The splash pad and playground equipment at all Henryetta city parks will be opened for general use as of Memorial Day weekend.
this week, Henryetta city council members unanimously approved the proposal along with allowing overnight camping at Jim Hall Lake.
Earlier this year the playground equipment and all camping facilities were placed off limits due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Council members said the public restrooms at Nichols and the splash pad will remain closed until further notice.
Council members also amended an existing ordinance dealing with fees, length of time and closing hours at Jim Hall Lake.
The new statute calls for a $20 per day camping fee to be charged and camping limited to only seven consecutive days.
The campgrounds will be closed to the general public during the hours between sunset and sunrise.
The camping fees must be paid at city hall prior to setting up camp.
After the Tuesday night meeting, it was announced city hall offices would re-open to the general public June 1. That will allow people to pay their bills and fines inside. The building has been on lockdown since the middle of March.
