The city of Henryetta is going to be operating on a two percent gain in revenue and eight percent gain in expenses for the coming year.
The preliminary budget released this week called for the city to start off with $4,385,064 revenue carried over from the current fiscal year then add another $10,173,236 in revenue from sales taxes, licenses, fines and other sources. That would be a total of $14,558,300.
Last year the city revenue estimate was $14,225,527.
Expenses this year are projected to be $11,284,788.
That is an 8.6 percent increase over last year.
The first public hearing on the new Henryetta city budget will be held June 16 at noon at city hall.
It is open to the general public to allow input over the revenues and expenses.
