The annual Highway 62 fireworks display will be brightening up Nichols Park again this year. The show will be held July 11 with the fireworks being shot off on the east side of the park. The display will start at 9:30 but youngsters will have an opportunity to chase down some parachute aerial displays starting at 9 p.m. It has been a favorite for several years now with over 2,000 people lining the beach, parking along the roadway and having fun throughout the day. There is no charge for the over hour-long entertainment.
