Henryetta school board members adopted three new policies, two of which are a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At their July board meeting, the school now has a screening policy to control and restrict access to school property, activities and events.
Parents, legal guardians and all school employees are being encouraged to self-screen at home. If a student or employee has a a temperature of 100 degrees they are to remain at home until the fever is back to normal for 24 hours.
A second policy covers absences, tardiness or playing hooky.
The third, and most in depth policy sets the plans for the online instructions.
All three policies are available for parents and students to download HERE.

In addition to the policies, the board voted to declare the nine school buses, a Chevrolet Suburban, a pickup and dump truck as surplus. They will be taking bids for those vehicles in the coming weeks.
The buses and Suburban were replaced earlier this year with new vehicles following passage of a bond issue.
The board voted to hire Michelle Mitchell as a part-time counselor at the middle school. They also accepted the resignations of Tiffany Padgett and Leslie Montemayor Smith.
Superintendent Dwayne Noble said a recent meeting with Entegrity Environmental indicates some 15 to 20 people will be arriving at the school to start replacing the lights as well as sinks and faucets throughout the school buildings. That work is expected to result in energy and utility savings to the school.
He pointed out one of the first priorities will be putting air conditioning in the Knight Center gymnasium. The gym floor had to be resurfaced after some bubbles were found in the varnish. That has been completed and new seats are replacing those that were cracked earlier this year.
He said school administrators will be meeting with the state July 21 to discuss plans for back to school. Once that meeting is held, the principals will be presenting those plans through an online video by Thehenryettan.com.
