The contest will start at noon but, according to organizer Kerry Been, registration will begin at 11:30. He said anyone wishing to enter can also register by phone at 918-304-7075. There is a $15 per person entry fee.
“We will be using the American Cornhole Organization rules,” Been said. “There will be a double elimination tournament and all contestants are encouraged to bring their own bean bags.” The club will have bags available if needed.
Cash prizes will be awarded and those amounts will be announced later.
First Family Federal Credit Union’s annual car and bike show will be held Saturday, Sept. 5 at Nichols Park.
FFFCU CEO David Dykes explained the show is seven years old although the history of a car show with Labor Day goes back further. “Rex Kesxee was the driving force behind a car show facilitated by union workers at the glass plant to go along with Labor Day. The Labor Day Committee had it for awhile then the Schulter fire department had it for several years.”

This year the decision was made to move it to Nichols Park in order to allow more vehicles to be shown.
“We have groups that regularly come from Tulsa and Oklahoma City and even from Arkansas. The past two years the best of show winner came from Arkansas.”
He said this year FFFCU is partnering with Steve Sanford at Rustler’s Barbecue. “He is going to do a cookout to combine with our car show.”
The car show will be held at the oval turnaround at Nichols. The cookout will be held by the shelter house pavilion on the east side of the lake.
Dykes said he is trying ti rival the annual car show at Robber’s Cave State Park every fall.
“We also welcome vendors to the event,” he said.
Registration will start at 8 a.m. Saturday morning and close at 11:30. There will be door prizes for participants and there is no entry fee required.
First and second place trophies will be given in each class as well as overall best of show and people’s choice.
The show is open to both autos and motorcycles.
