search

A person described as a "special needs" individual was the subject of a two-hour search Monday night involving a number of area fire departments and rescue crews. The male was found in Coal Creek near the Fourth Street bridge shortly after 10 p.m. He had wandered off from a home on Broadway earlier in the evening. According to fire department personnel, he was cold and wet and was taken to Hillcrest Henryetta hospital to be examined. Crews from Henryetta, Dewar, Wilson, Plainview fire departments as well as Henryetta police, Emergency Management Service and EMS were involved in the search. The missing person was said to have been the same one involved in a search along Coal Creek earlier this year.
