Later, the Dewar defensive line pinned the Wildcats next to their own goal line in the second period then got the two point safety.
That was followed by Fowler with a quarterback keeper for a touchdown to put Dewar up 32-6 at the end of the half.
Covington tried a pass play but the Dragons intercepted and four plays later Maxwell would get the TD.
Another Dewar touchdown came minutes later when Covington was unable to convert a fourth down giving Dewar the ball on the 24 yard line. Fowler called his own number and went for the TD. With the conversion, Dewar was up 48-6.
In the next series, Covington could not convert another fourth down and the Dragons capped off a three play series from the 49 for the game winning touchdown by Maxwell.
The Dragons will be hosting Balko/Forgan next Friday night in the quarterfinals of the class B state championships.
