For the second year, Henryetta youngsters are being invited to attend the Sports Academics and Life Skills Camp.
The camp will be held at the HHS track and field complex July 10 through 12. It is conducted by current and former NFL and college coaches and players with Josh Heupel in charge.
A similar camp last summer saw over 100 youngsters from third through eighth grade participating.
During the three day camp, boys and girls will receive mentoring in academics, athletics, health and fitness. During the day, instructors would visit with the youngsters about making proper life choices and leadership principles.
The sessions will start at 8 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. each day. There is no charge to attend although participants need to fill out a registration form by July 7. Those forms are available at the Henryetta elementary or school superintendent's office. They can also be downloaded here: {jd_file file==94}
Participants will receive a free lunch, t-shirt and can get photos and autographs from some of the coaches and athletes.
