Velma Jane Harley, a resident of Henryetta, died June 9, 2012 in Henryetta at the age of 66. Velma was born on May 30, 1946 in Henryetta, to Benny Taylor and Ella Walker Taylor.
Velma grew up in Henryetta and attended Graham Public Schools, where she graduated from High School.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leo Harley, and her mother and father.
She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Jacobs and husband Steve of Bixby; son, Leo Harley, Jr.of Henryetta; six grandchildren: Heather Jacobs, Michelle Jacobs, Jamie Jacobs, Steven Jacobs, Amanda Jacobs, and Marcus Eugene Harley; two great grandchildren: Kelie and Gooden Zakina; two brothers: Newman Taylor of Henryetta and Roley Taylor of Talihina; a sister: Hattie Birdcreek of Henryetta and by numerous other extended family and many good friends.
Viewing and visitation will be held at Shurden Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the Shurden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating. Services are under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home of Henyretta.
