A workshop is being planned in Henryetta July 15 to help anyone wishing to start their own business avoid some of those pitfalls.
The workshop, "Entrepreneurship 101," is going to be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the chamber of commerce office.
It is being conducted by the REI Women's Business Center and is open to everyone.
REI spokesperson Christian Culver, said the workshop, "is a must for anyone interested in starting a small business or strengthening a new business."
She said topics to be covered include feasibility of an idea, developing a business plan,
marketing the business and funding options for small business.
There will be information from the Oklahoma Tax Commission on rules surrounding taxes and tax reporting.
A $15 registration fee is being changed. For more information, visit the Women's Business Center website: www.reiwbc.org.
