The Henryetta Chamber of Commerce says “Shop Local" – It's a win-win
The Henryetta Chamber of Commerce encourages Henryettan's to spend their valuable shopping dollars locally. Our local small businesses are on the front lines when it comes to providing daily goods and services to our community; they also play a huge roll in funding Henryetta events and contributing both their volunteer time and talents to community activities. Without our local business assisting with sponsoring events and community fund raising activities many family recreational events and quality of life programs would not occur.
Before you shop out of town or get a little too eager to risk your credit card exposure with online shopping, remember shopping with your local businesses generate valuable tax dollars that supports the City's day to day operations, infrastructure requirements, and the overall quality of life in the community. The City of Henryetta does not receive property tax dollars; therefore, the City is primarily dependent on sales tax revenue to fund the City's budget. When Henryettan's shop out of town, you directly contribute to the sales tax base of other communities; not one penny is returned to Henryetta. We realize that there'll be occasions when one of our businesses may not have exactly what you need in inventory; but just give them a day or two and they'll have it in stock. So, unless it is an emergency - they'll save you both money and time when you consider your driving time and the cost of fuel.
Remember when you shop local it truly is a win – win for the community!
