 reading-program
There are heroes every day and Henryetta youngsters are learning about them this summer.
The children are participating in the Henryetta public library's summer reading program throughout June and July.
Meeting at the civic center every Tuesday, the children get to hear stories of heroes from the pony express, Army and history.
Following a story-telling session, the students participate in some games. They are also encouraged to read on their own. Prizes are awarded based on the number of minutes each student reads. At the end of the summer, a drawing will be held for a year's subscription to the kids National Geographic magazine.
There is no charge to participate in the reading program.
