Even though the new school year is still nearly four months away, parents of three year olds or those starting pre-school and kindergarten for the first time need to be planning ahead.
Henryetta schools will be holding enrollment for local residents May 9 and 10 at the school.
Parents need to call 918-652-6587 extension 1190 to set up an appointment for each grade level.
Elementary principal Roger Williams said those enrollment day are not for transfer students. Any student transferring into the Henryetta school district has to have their transfer and enrollment paperwork Aug. 1 and 2. “A transfer must be approved or rejected within 30 days,” he said.
Enrollment will be from 8:39 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the front lobby of the early Childhood building.
To be eligible for the three-year-old program, the child must be three years age on or before Sept. 1, 2022. They must be potty trained and parents are required to provide transportation each day.
The pre-school students must be four years old on or before Sept. 1.
New students enrolling in kindergarten must be five years old by the Sept. 1 date.
Parents must bring proof of residence such as an electric, gas or water bill, an approved transfer or signed affidavit of residents, state birth certificate, social security card, current immunization record, Sooner card, tribal citizenship card.
