Letter to the Editor:
The Henryetta Education Foundation was able to raffle off a new 54” Kubota Zero-turn Mower and Trailer to help in funding our Teacher Grants program this coming fall. Ticket sales netted just over $11,000 and all proceeds will go directly towards our grant program.
The lucky winner of this fundraising effort was Sherri Foreman, an Okemah resident, that purchased her ticket when we (the HEF) had set up our booth at this year’s Okemah Pioneer Days. The winning ticket was drawn Saturday evening, June 18, in conjunction with the Henryetta Cruise Night activities. We presented the mower and trailer to Sherri today, June 21, in Okemah, OK.
We couldn’t do these kinds of fundraisers without the extreme generosity of our sponsors/underwriters.
Those sponsors included: Stewart-Martin Kubota (Joey & Jackie), American Exchange Bank, First National Bank and Trust, First Family Federal Credit Union, Pam & Andy Bealko.
We would be remiss if we did not also thank: the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce, Shoney’s, Henryetta Golf Course, The Okemah Chamber of Commerce, Leonda Massey, The Henryettan.com On-line newspaper, The Henryetta Free-Lance, The Henryetta Historical Society, and of course, all of our very dedicated HEF Board Members: (Dr. David Warden, Randy Ritchey, Reggie Palmer, Jill Francis, Jeremy Roberts, Natalie Kerby, Dirk Palmer, Keith Estes, Jim Goodman, Robin Lollis, Henryetta School Superintendent Dwayne Noble)
Thank you, James MNcCulloughm president, Henryetta Education Foundation.
