Valentine’s Day was a special event for residents at the Lake Drive Care and Rehab facility.
They were treated to a prom and dance at the Henryetta civic center. Complete with a disc jockey and concession stand, the event included a vote for Valentine king and queen and included clients from the Pioneer Campus in Wetumka, Reach Corporation from Okemah and Weleetka and Country Lane from Beggs.
The event was also a celebration of the end of COVID that prohibited such activities for the past couple of years.
Lake Drive is one of several intermediate care facilities that help individuals with intellectual disabilities. They serve adults from 18 years of age and up.
