The 2014-15 fiscal year is officially over for Henryetta's city government and it was not a banner one in sales tax receipts.
The July sales tax check reflecting business reported in June amounted to $213,800.98. That was down $1,298.58 from last year. It also resulted in a total of $2,772,575 for the 12-month fiscal year, a drop of $771.11 from the previous fiscal year.
By contrast, the use tax receipts were up for the 12-month fiscal year with $12,692.31 in the July distribution compared to $7,645.33 a year ago. That ended the year with $139,801.54 compared with $130,467.30 last year.
Okmulgee County sales tax returns from the state amounted to $292,009, a gain over the $274,224 reported last year.
