Sharon Kaye Boerstler Gibson, a former Henryetta resident, died March 1, 2023 at the age of 81. She was born Jan. 1, 1942, to J. Philip and Mary Louise McBrayer Boerstler in Okmulgee.
She graduated from Henryetta High School in 1959 and Oklahoma State University in 1963. Sharon taught school in Jefferson County, Colorado for many years before returning to teach in Sapulpa Public Schools for 32 years. She married Ron Gibson in 1978 and they lived in Sapulpa until her death.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church, PEO and Eta Zeta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Philip Lee Boerstler and sister-in-law Babs Boerstler of Wichita, Kansas.
Sharon is survived by her husband Ron; sister Peggy Boerstler of Tulsa; two daughters, Lori (Dr. Steve) Ackerley of Tulsa and Robin (Dave) Haught of Sapulpa; son Robert Gibson of Edmond; grandchildren: Nicholas, Matthew and Luke Ackerley of Tulsa, Cory (Kelsie) Gibson of Woodstock, Georgia, Chris (Amanda) Haught of Kellyville and Jordan (Meagan) Haught of Sapulpa; five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the directions of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, Kellyville.
