The Lady Knights posted their first win of the 2015 fast-pitch season Friday when they took a 5-1 win over Canadian.
battingPlaying in the Henryetta Festival, the HHS girls tied together a double by Kendal Perez and a single by Shelby Bullard for the first inning run to go ahead 1-0.
Canadian threatened with runners in the second inning but an amazing triple play between second and first ended any hopes the would have.
The Lady Cougars came back with an RBI run in the third to tie up the game briefly but it was going to be quickly overturned.
Makenzie Roberts and Bridgette Williams both walked followed by Perez getting a single.
With two outs against the Lady Knights, Bullard nailed a single scoring both Roberts and Williams.
That was followed by Charee Graham with a single to score Perez and Bullard.safe at third
Canadian threatened twice in the fourth with runners making it to second then thrown out at third and left stranded after a fly out.
In the second game of the day, Perez provided the lone run in a 12-1 loss to the Wetumka Lady Chieftains.
Leading off the first inning, she got a single then stole second and third. Charee Graham popped a short bunt and was thrown out at first allowing Perez to score.
Wetumka quickly countered with seven runs in the first and five more in the second for the win.
The Lady Knights were able to prevent at least four other runs with outs in both infield and outfield.
