He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jean Gillan, and a stepson, Scott Gillan. He is survived by his companion, Angela Vassaur, her children, Jace Vassaur and Mollie Adams. Also by an aunt, Ethel Lee Fry, as well as a host of friends and other relatives. In accordance with James’ wishes, no services are planned.
