Albert Butch Ritter January 30 1941 – May 4 2026
Butch Ritter, a resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma, passed away on May 4, 2026, at the age of 85. He was born on January 30, 1941, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Albert and Olive (Durnham) Ritter.
Butch attended Dewar schools, where he excelled in athletics. He was an avid bird hunter, fisherman, and golfer. He was ordained as a deacon and attended Dewar First Baptist Church. Butch retired from PSO after many years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Donna Louise and Sue; a son, James Paul; a brother, Arthur; and a sister, Merle Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Chaney) Ritter of the home; daughters, Lisa and husband Mark Crawford of Dewar, and Brandy and husband Ryan Treagesser of Okmulgee; grandchildren, Ethan, Angela, Sarah, Kyle, Riley, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Ezekiel, and Mia Sabrina; brother, David and wife Brenda Ritter of Henryetta; sister, Billie Barron of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and niece, Donna Fields of Dewar.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Westlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Services are under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.
