The Henryetta Off road Track and Trails has become so widely known that Yamaha officials were on hand to try out their machines.
yamaha tnA contingent of Yamaha engineers and sales personnel came in from Japan and Georgia to test out some of their vehicle components Friday. The parking lot was filled with Yamaha trail vehicles that were fitted with computers and recorders to measure everything from wheel speed to transmission slipping.
One of the Georgia representatives said the trails offered a perfect test track since the vehicles were faced with rock climbs, mud and even speed areas along the dirt track.
The Henryetta trail system was suggested by Mark Sehorn, owner of Sehorn motorcycles in Shawnee. He has been to Henryetta in the past months and says the Trails at Nichols Park provide some of the best off road experience in the area.
The HOTT trails opened two years ago and have seen visitors from across the state try out their machines. The trail system is located in the eastern part of the park that is separated by the Indian Nation Turnpike.
