Charles Ray Smith Sr. was born Dec. 1, 1934 and died Oct. 13, 2019 in Tulsa at the age of 85. He was a longtime resident of Okemah. He is preceded in death by his parents Earl Smith and Georgia Couch; his wife, Pauline Smith and four daughters, Charlene Rich, Cheryl Smith, Mildred Fixaco and Carolyn Wilson.
Survivors include his son, Charles Smith Jr and wife Tammy of Henryetta; his daughter, Marla Hutchings and husband Dave of Henryetta; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Wayne Smith, Jerry Don Smith, Larry Smith, Charlie Ray Smith, Billy Smith and Leon Smith.
Honorary bearers include Gary Dale Smith and Finis Smith.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Skyview Baptist Church in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Rev. David Hamilton and assisted by Rev. Charlsie Rich.
Stephanie Ann Lovett, 39 of Eustis, Fla., died Oct. 10, 2019 in Lake City, Fla. Funeral services are pending with Integrity Funeral Service.
Nellie Laughlin, a resident of Henryetta, died Oct. 14, 2019 at the age of 83. She was born Oct. 20, 1935 in Henryetta to William and Emma Hughes.
Her and husband Don owned and operated Laughlin Grocery and was a co-founding partner with the Merl-Norman Cosmetics Store in Henryetta.
She is survived by her husband Don Laughlin; daughter: Terri Thompson and husband Rick; son: Michael Laughlin and wife Lisa; grandchildren: Brandi Bland and husband James; Reid Thompson and wife Whitney, CJ Laughlin and wife Ashley; Les Laughlin and Wes Laughlin; two great grandchildren: Izzy Bland and Beau Thompson
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow at the Salt Creek Cemetery in the Wilson Community under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
Jon Clinton Tomlinson was born April 6, 1946 in Henryetta to Clinton and Rosanna Tomlinson. He died Oct. 13, 2019 at the age of 73.
He is a 1964 graduate of Henryetta High School. Jon attended Connors State College and Northeastern State University where he received a degree in business.
In June of 1966 Jon joined the USAF. During his 4 years in the USAF he was trained as an air traffic controller working at a base that trained pilots for combat. Jon spent his career with Ford Glass Company and then Visteon quality control.
On March 16, 2004 Jon married Kathy Phillipe Montgomery.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Tomlinson; daughter: Shelly Stout and husband Audie; son: Ryan Tomlinson and wife Lorrie; bonus daughters: Ashley Montgomery and Megan Benson and husband Kent; grandchildren: Lindsey and Reed Stout; Elijah Tomlinson; Isaac and Gage Tiger; Montgomery Kate Benson; mother: Rosanna Tomlinson; brother: Kenny Tomlinson and wife Ruth; sister: Dawana Davis and husband Beryl; nephews: Sean and Ben

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church with the USAF presenting honors. Services are under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
Sharon Lee Banja Horwell was born Feb. 2, 1945 in Easton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Gloria Lorraine Roberts Banja and the late Emil Banja. She died Oct. 13, 2019 at the age of 74 years.
She graduated from Easton High School and attended college at Penn State University. She elected to serve 4 years in the U.S. Army as a laboratory technician. She then worked in Philadelphia, PA, where she met her future husband, William Robinson Horwell, Jr. They married Dec. 10, 1972.
She is survived by her mother, Gloria Banja; her husband, William Horwell; her daughters, Rodanthee Banja Goodell and husband, Kendal and Sonya Horwell Heidt and husband, William; and her four grandchildren, Braden, Makenna, Jaxon, and William.
Viewing will be Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 6 p.m. with Mike Dewitt, officiating. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
