backfire
Henryetta firemen were busy Sunday night making sure they won't face a major fire on Monday.
After responding to several grass fires earlier this week along the road to Jim Hall Lake, firemen set backfires to contain any blazes.
Fire chief David Bullard said winds are expected to come from the south starting Monday.

That could have spread some embers into dry pastures and threatened some homes.
"There are no homes or buildings along here," he said, pointing into a heavily-wooded area. "If the fire got across the road, it could head toward some homes and the Interstate."
Bullard said the little amount of moisture received last week has already evaporated. "People just need to be really careful with any fires. The wind can pick up some embers and send them off into neighboring pastures within seconds."
The backfires were set with both Henryetta and Dewar fire crews working together.
