A Cookson man had to be flown to Tulsa for treatment of injuries following a collision three miles east of Henryetta on Interstate 40 Saturday.
i 40 wreckThe Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Michael Randolph, jr., 31, received body, arm and leg injuries in the crash. He was the driver of a 2015 Toyota Tacoma that struck the rear end of a 2005 Freightliner driven by Phillip Roser, 59, Evansville, Indiana.
According to Trooper Brian Warren, both vehicles were eastbound on I-40 when the collision occurred. The Freightliner was said have a tire blow-out and was slowing down in the inside lane. That was when the Tacoma struck the rear of the semi.
Randolph was pinned in the cab of his truck for about 10 minutes before he could be freed by Henryetta fire department.
