An evening of worship at the Henryetta First Church of the Nazarene turned tragic Sunday night.
A two-vehicle crash on US 75 just south of Hectorville Road, sent several people to the hospital.
According to the Oklahoma Highway patrol, a van occupied by 11 members of Teen Challenge of Oklahoma members was struck in the rear end. he impact sent 10 of the Teen Challenge group to a Sapulpa hospital for treatment of injuries.
The OHP said the northbound van was driving slowly due to mechanical problems. A pickup, also northbound, struck the van from behind. The occupants of the pickup were also injured in the crash.
The Teen Challenge group had been at the Henryetta church for evening worship. Two of the group's members were admitted to the hospital for treatment. The others were treated and released.
The crash is still under investigation said the OHP.
