Two Tahlequah residents are recovering from injuries they sustained in a crash north of Morris early Thursday morning.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, James I. Hinds, jr., 34, was the driver of a 2012 GMC truck that was eastbound on SH 16 around 5:45 a.m.
OHP Trooper Brian Warren says the truck was pulling a trailer when it went out of control and ran off the left side of the highway and struck a concrete culvert.
Hinds was treated and released from the Okmulgee Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, Aubrie L. Chandler, 29, had to be flown by AirEvac to St. John Hospital in Tulsa for body and leg injuries. She was said to be in stable condition.
