Ralph Tamplen, a resident of Schulter, died Feb. 9, 2015 at his home at the age of 80. He was born July 20, 1934 in Ryal to Joe L. Tamplen and Cora (Mannings) Tamplen. He married Christene Nuckolls August 26, 1954 in Okmulgee.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Cora Tamplen, two sons, Paul and David Tamplen, two sisters, Dora Mae Nuckolls and Betty Morris, one brother, Robert Tamplen.
He is survived by his wife Christene of the home; three sons: Jerry Tamplen of Henryetta,
Ralph W. (Cookie) Tamplen and wife Brenda of Schulter and Daniel Tamplen and wife Gail of Council Hill; one grandchild; three brothers: Billy Tamplen and wife Judy of Henryetta; Tommy Tamplen and wife Janice of Schulter and Kenneth Tamplen of Schulter; also by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and other relatives.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Vicky Palmer, Nancy Wadley, Mary Lee, Tammy Nicholson, Tana Lay, and Geneva Bolenbaugh.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday at Salem Cemetery with Vicky Palmer officiating. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
